Shetland Pony Poem

Shetland Pony

I have a Shetland pony,
Her socks are white as snow
She lives in the grassy back paddock,
Next to a handsome palomino.

When I ride her in the arena,
She gallops towards her mate
She bucks and bolts and nips and kicks
I end up on the gate.

I tie her up to the rail,
And keep a strong, sharp tone
Even when I try to brush her,
She has a mind of her own.

Back to the paddock she goes,
Back to her long lost friend
Kicking anything near,
Skidding around the bend.

Back to the barn I go,
To prepare for the next day
Going on a road trek tomorrow,
And she’s coming too, YAY!
