One of the ways to keep safe on the Internet is to keep your personal details private. Personal details, as in your full name, email address and mobile phone number. As you will find, there are a lot of different ways to be intimidated or scared by people on the Internet but that’s not the only way to be scammed while you are online. You can also be tricked into downloading net nasties such as viruses or spyware. If you find something that really scares you or makes you feel bad or upset, close the window and get an adult to come take a look. Make sure you don’t delete the item because you can use it as proof when you report it. It really helps if your family computer is in a family room so an adult can keep an eye on you. So don’t feel scared while you’re online, just make sure if you feel uncomfortable don’t delay, to talk to an adult.
